DIALOGUE WITH SPECTATORS

In the end of January in the day of Tatjana which students and intelligency celebrate with special heat, the exhibition of artist Valery Valius was opened in Moscow in «Museum of Man». «Museum of Man », located in Sviblovo in  library Nr110, became for many muscovites the real cultural center. There is the «Theatre-studio 69» under direction of George Chervinskogo. There is also the poetic theatre representing works of classics of a siver age. There is a publishing house and the newspaper. Works of modern artists are constantly exhibited at a showroom. The candidate of art criticism Galina Ivanovna Pikuleva tells in detail and interestingly on opening days to spectators about pictures.

Valery Valius is drop out from habitual set of painters. He is difficult for ranking as any current, to any school. He is himself. Probably, it is valuable - skill as much as possible to open the creative individuality. Valius turned to painting at enough mature age. He is the physicist by education, he has ended the Moscow State University, defended the dissertation. Bent for to creativity, has got to Valery probably by right of succession. He has learned much, much has peeped at the father - remarkable artist Pjotr Adamovich Valius. But it concerns, basically, picturesque receptions. On style, on a manner of the figurative art pictures of the father and the son are not similar. Emotional intensity of creativity makes related them, perhaps. And the powerful charge which has been splashed out on a canvases. The subjects of pictures of Valery Valjusa are often socially caused. Probably, it the physicist, the scientist speaks in him, inclined to analyze not only natural, but also social processes. Valius translates impartial analysis in visions. And it is far not a simple task. Here you will not manage a formalistic approach, the schematic image of objects. Here is required the unusual associative set, capable to touch and excite the spectator, to cause him on original dialogue with the artist. Associations of Valius, as a rule, are unexpected, unusual in the frankness and force to reinterpret many settled concepts. His canvases demand reflections and are read far ambiguously. Discussions often happens near works of the artist. The president of public organization «Museum of Man» Evgenia Vladimirovna Vikeeva has admitted, what exactly this side of creativity of V.P.Valius has induced her and employees to arrange an exhibition. Landscapes and still-lives are good, but, how many it is possible to draw birches, sunsets and bouquets of flowers? There is already ХХ1 a century, it is imperceptible for us the new thinking and new perception of a life is born. So it is necessary to meet it! The same idea was stated by the editor-in-chief of magazine «Our street» writer Jury Kuvaldin. He has named Valery Valius picturesque annalist of epoch. As a rule, it is difficult to contemporaries to assess time in which they live. All this is comprehended later, backdating. And the artist with the aggravated perception feels and fixes matters that yet up to the end was postponed in collective consciousness.

Already on names of pictures it is possible to judge an acuteness of themes that present in creativity of the artist: "Argument" - the nuclear explosion, flapped human bodies, «To split the kernel", "Sharing of the native land", "The Hungry country», "Chernobyl", "Emission", «Conversation of different kinds of the weapons", "The Hot point ", "The Defender of publicity", "Russian space theory", "The Meeting with other-wordly", "Faiths divide the god»,  "Refugee", «Friendship of nations», etc. But a life is not limited to social problems, there are a lot of personal, intimate in it. Here again Valius brightly and originally embodies own imaginations: «The woman as the river ", "The Gold flying small fish", "The Poet at the sea", "Boiling thoughts", "Paradise for two", "Overseas life is not bad", "High-voltage reciprocity", "Light in the end of the tunnel", "Heavens promised». Last time the artist take a great interest in computer graphics. Modern technologies allow to experiment color, to mount in one video series the most diverse images, with enthusiasm to dream and create own visible sphere of dwelling. These opportunities have allowed to combine in one product works of the father and the son. Valery takes for a basis drawings of Peter Valjus and thinks out to it the color background, various on a tonality, on mood. The original virtual crossroads of generations turns out.  

Though Pjotr Valius also wanted, that the son became the artist, but to write pictures Valery has begun only in 1986 in emigration in Germany where has lived 13 years. Already with Gorbatchev’s discharge he has returned to Russia. Artist had about 100 personal and group exhibitions. He is a member of Art fund in Moscow and a member of the Union of artists of Bavaria. His pictures are in galleries and private collections in Russia, Germany, the USA, Canada, Israel, England, Holland, Denmark, Switzerland, Norway and in a museum of Bogoroditsk.
